Vickie started 7 months ago and has quickly become a favorite of employees and guests. Her willingness to help employees and management by covering shifts during times of need reflects her ability to serve. Not only is she willing to help, but she always does it with a smile and a positive attitude. She goes out of her way to make sure that all guest requests are met, whether its shuttling guests to meetings in the hotel van or just offering to help with luggage. Because of her positive attitude and willingness to help, she is well respected by her co-workers and management. Also, her confident ability to manage the front desk even during controlled chaos (especially during team check-ins), guests respect the way she performs her job. Handling the front desk, especially with 60-70 check-ins, confidence can sometimes be put to the test. She always exhibits the resolve to make sure guests are checked in a timely and efficient manner, not to mention answering the phone at the least favorable time. It’s obvious by the aforementioned sentences, she’s a team player. She doesn’t have to be asked to tidy up the lobby after a busy morning or straighten the business center. The bottom line is that Vickie makes our hotel a more welcoming place.
